The United States Mint American Innovation $1 Coin Program is a multi-year series honoring innovation and innovators with $1 coins from each State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands. The American Innovation $1 Coins in the rolls and bags have uncirculated finishes and were minted at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. The Vermont coin is the second of 2022.
The 2022 American Innovation Vermont $1 coin design captures a sense of the energy and exuberance of snowboarding through movement implied by diagonal lines and curved shapes.
This American Innovation $1 Coin Roll (Vermont) contains 25 coins with uncirculated finishes minted at the Denver Mint.
The reverse (tails) design features a young female snowboarder in the air performing a trick called a âmelon grab,â set against a mountainous winter skyline inspired by the landscape of Vermont. Inscriptions are âUNITED STATES OF AMERICAâ and âVERMONT.â
The obverse (heads) design features a dramatic representation of the Statue of Liberty in profile with the inscriptions âIN GOD WE TRUSTâ and â$1.â It also includes a privy mark of a stylized gear, representing industry and innovation.
The year of minting, mint mark, and âE PLURIBUS UNUMâ are incused on the edge of the coins.
